Rhubarb, Big Time

Evidently rhubarb plants thrive in summers
that are quite cool and on the wet side.

Are your tastebuds dripping?
How about now?
This is what was left over after giving neighbors two bags --
but more is growing.

  1. Your rhubarb has my mouth craving a rhubarb pie! I wish I had some growing here. It would have been huge with the cool, wet weather we have had this year. Enjoy some for me! =D

  4. I use to have some beautiful rhubarb, but Abe kept moving it and it finally gave up. So he bought several plants last year and we planted them. This is the first year they came up, but only one plant, which is fine, once it gets bigger. It didn't do too well. I think perhaps it's getting too much sun. But then I don't have to make those rhubarb pies. LOL. I find as I get older, I seem to get lazier.

  5. WOW! Your rhubarb plant is certainly super sized, Cheryl. :) I bet you are making all sorts of wonderful things with it.

    Happy 4th of July!

  6. Nice shots - I love strawberry & rhubarb pie. But I had no idea the leaves were poisonous? It's a good thing I'm not a gardener!

  7. Well, this brings back a lot of good memories...we used to grow rhubarb in Minnesota and I loved rhubarb pie!

Are you in Colorado now? We just got back from Tennessee and it was quite beautiful but not as impressive as Colorado!

    Hope that all is well!

  8. The rhubarb looks so good, like some one said above now I'm craving rhubarb pie.

I haven't heard from you in awhile Cheryl, hope you are having a great summer. Colorado would be a great place to be in the summer.
